Portfolio 2: Civilians

So I created the base meshes for our civilians for Grapple. The rest is going to rely on texturing. They'll be running around, spawning and despawning. There is still some fiddling to do but here is what I've gotten.

We wanted to keep them under 3000 tris and make switchable parts. The textures are 512x512 and I tried making the clothing textures use the same basic shading and have switchable colorings. Details would be added on.

Portfolio: Amina

The main character of our game, Amina, who traverses through the small island nation of Nova Martelo with the use of her grapple. Coincidentally, Grapple also being the title of the game. You're gonna fight/avoid killer robots and collect special stones to prevent them from getting into the hands of the evil Destrozar, who seeks to harness the power of these stones for his own devices. And you GOTTA GO FAST. Because if you're TOO SLOW, that's NO GOOD.

Since we last saw Amina, there have been numerous changes. Click or Right Click to Open New Window to Full-View.

Remodeling Amina: Bust

Hello, so there is some news, I've been moved to Grapple team and I feel it a much more fitting place to be.

So for the past week I've been remodeled Amina's face for Facial Rigging. Click images for larger size.

Then I transfered and tweaked the UVs for a better layout. I made room for the mouth she has now.

Then I went into zbrush a polypainted. Fixing seams and evening out a base texture which I later took into photoshop to add more detail. I also adjusted the eyebrows.

Maya can't seem to render transparent planes so the hair appears to not show a little. Couldn't find a solution sadly.
